Firmware Updates

Deliver sensor updates via OTA.

Sensor firmware updates are delivered over-the-air (OTA). For this purpose, a sensor connects to the PureLife Cloud every time it is started and checks whether a new version is available. If a new version is available, the cloud creates a link to download the firmware and passes it to the sensor. The sensor will then download and install the new firmware.

Get firmware#

Starting with PureLife Cloud v2.2, the latest sensor firmware (at the time of a PureLife Cloud release) is always part of the PureLife Cloud. When the PureLife Cloud is started, this firmware is automatically added to the firmware repository and can be selected for installation. If the firmware repository is empty, this version is also set as the default version.

Set default firmware#

1. Open the admin interface and select “Firmware”.
2. Use the mouse to select the version you want to install.
3. Confirm activation.

Add firmware#

1. Open the admin interface and select “Firmware”.
2. Click on the button “Add firmware” in the upper right corner
3. Select the .zip file with the firmware files
