Version 3.9.0 is here. Event filtering, exclusion region, motion smoothing, memory duration.
NOVA-C: Events Outside the Detection Range
A new configuration parameter allows you to filter out events outside the detection range. This parameter is enabled by default. Events located outside the sensor's detection range are marked as ignored and skip rule checks and the sending of customer webhooks.
NOVA-C: Falls within a Non-Fall Region
This version includes a new configuration parameter (active by default) to filter fall events reported within an exclusion region. These events are marked as ignored and therefore not processed further. Door regions are an exception. While they are also exclusion regions, these events are not marked as ignored.
Terminology: Regions that do not (or should not) report falls = exclusion region
NOVA-C: Motion Smoothing
The motion data from the NOVA-C sensor, displayed in the live view, can be smoothed to prevent jerky movements. A new parameter is available to configure motion smoothing. It is enabled by default. Smoothing only affects the user interface, not the events themselves.
Experimental: Ghost Detection
A new parameter has been added to the NOVA-C sensor to activate ghost detection (presence phantoms). This parameter is inactive by default.
When activated, the system calculates the probability of each person in the room being a real human. A low probability indicates a ghost (phantom). If it is likely a ghost, the icon in the frontend will gradually fade out but will always remain visible.

Experimental: Automatic Restart of Static Presence Detection
An additional parameter for the NOVA-C sensor allows for an automatic restart of the sensor when the minimum number of people and the minimum duration of their presence in the room are reached. All people must be in the room for the minimum duration. A change in the number of people resets the counter. This parameter is inactive by default.
Fixes
- Fix: Events directly at the edge of the screen were not displayed in the heatmap.
- Fix: Reboot loop when posture detection is disabled.
For our self-hosted customers
These two adjustments significantly reduce the storage space required for instances with a particularly large number of sensors.
Log Retention Period
The retention period for sensor logs can now be configured via the system settings, just like the event retention period. The new default for sensor log retention is set to two weeks. This also applies to self-hosted instances. This value cannot be overridden at the customer level.
Webhook Log Limitation
In the admin settings, you can configure how many of the most recent webhook logs should be stored. Additionally, starting with this version, webhook logs are deleted more frequently.
