Announcement for our Cloud customers#

New default firmware#

With this release, the new sensor firmware v0.40 is being rolled out on a large scale.

New function#

Sensor-Firmware v0.40#

With firmware v0.40, fall detection has been improved and adapted. There are new functions to more reliably detect leaving the bed and entering and leaving the room.

Preventing false positives#

Fall Mitigator is a feature that uses machine learning to reduce the number of false alarms by up to 50% and the number of actual falls detected by up to 5%.

Bed exit#

Bed exit is a new event that indicates that a bed is abandoned. The event is triggered when the person moves away from the bed region and there are no signs of human presence in that region.

For this event, a new rule The bed has been left is available to inform you about this situation.

Door event#

The Door Event is a new event for an empty/occupied room and is displayed as soon as the resident crosses the door region of the room and moves away from it (either by leaving or entering the room).

There is currently no new rule available for this event. In the future, the event will be combined with regular presence reports from the sensor and a common logic will be created.

Kind of region#

This version allows regions to be assigned a profile. When a species is selected for a region, parameters are set according to the manufacturer's specifications and can no longer be changed.

Extension of the webhook format custom-1#

The webhook format has been extended to include an event for leaving the bed. This is used when the Bed profile is activated for a region and thus the bed leaving is detected and reported. The payload event ID is 8.

Changed default behavior#

The Strong Presence Detection and Horizontal parameters for regions are now disabled by default.

Miscellaneous#

The Strong Presence Detection parameter of a region has been renamed Resting area.

• Fix: Sensors with old parameters are automatically updated during update

Delivery of sensor firmware v0.40.20#

The sensor firmware v0.40.20 is delivered from version 2.15.0 of the PureLife Cloud and is set as the default version for new installations.
